Seed Grants for Garden and Friends Groups!

Posted April 13th, 2012 by Joel and filed in Greening Dorchester

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department (BPRD) will once again offer “Seed Grants” to community garden and friends groups in all Boston neighborhoods so residents may have help in purchasing equipment, tools, and materials for this year’s growing season. The maximum grant to be awarded is $250.

Those who receive grants will be required to provide receipts for the awarded amount along with a W-9 Vendor ID form, the City will send you the W-9 Vendor ID form to complete if your group is awarded a grant. The grant program is based on reimbursement; that is, the community garden purchases the equipment, tools, and/or materials and is then paid when receipts are presented. Deadline for submission is April 23.
