Green Spaces & Public Parks
Franklin Park Coalition Community members are decision-makers in this stewardship coalition caring for Franklin Park, Boston’s premier Olmsted-designed park. The website includes resources such as an interactive map, historical information, a calendar of events, and ways to get involved.
Friends of Ronan Park – Ronan Park offers a breathtaking view of Dorchester Bay and now has a space reserved for off-the-leash dogs. Join the friends for the various community events at the park or for park meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at the Bowdoin Street Health Center.
Boston Natural Areas Network (BNAN)- Since 1977, BNAN has been working to preserve, expand, and improve open urban spaces such as community gardens, urban wilds, and greenways. Check out this map of the urban wilds in Dorchester, or get involved with their programming and workshops like Seed, Sow and Grow or SLUG (Students Learning Through Urban Gardening)
