Sustainability Guild International and the Dorchester Community Food Co-op are seeking volunteers to weed, water and harvest 7 garden plots in the Coleman Street Community Garden. Needs are ongoing but volunteers are especially sought for 12 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16 and Friday, Aug. 17. Coleman Street is located in the Bowdoin-Geneva neighborhood of Dorchester (view map here). The work will not only contribute to a community-driven movement for healthy food access and neighborhood growth, but also help supply a “Fresh Fridays” café series occurring in August and September 2012. For more information, or to volunteer, contact Jhana Senxian at email@example.com or 617-630-6508.
