BLOW UP THE MOUNTAIN, BLAME THE ECONOMY ON THE “ENVIRONMENTAL EXTREMISTS!” Why are we blowing up mountains to extract a little bit of coal? Why are people living and working near these sites becoming sick? And why has the coal industry ELIMINATED thousands of coal jobs through this process, while blaming environmentalists for the cuts? “Dirty Business,” is a comprehensive look at the coal industry from many perspectives–and provides real hope for a shift to a clean energy future.
Before the film, guests are invited to check out IBEW’s wind turbine, supported by Mass Energy members and visible from I-93. Then, Representative Lori Ehrlich of the 8th Essex District will be with us to share her personal story as a local anti-coal activist.
PLEASE RSVP THROUGH THE LINK PROVIDED! Space is limited so get your tickets today! See you there!
